WHAT IS IT ?

Question MarkThe Bullying for School Safety TechTour has students working interactively with technology in teams as well as individually to answer the Challenge Question, "How can you make a difference within your school and community by planning activities for an Anti-bullying week?"

HOW DO YOU USE IT ?

Question MarkStudents will work in teams and individually to go through a learning experience in which they investigate various aspects of bullying including the types, causes, prevention and solutions. Students will generate products, such as concepts maps, skits, posters and buttons to be shared with fellow students and community members during Anti-Bullying Week.

WHEN DO YOU USE IT?

Question MarkThis TechTour can be used during Anti-Bullying Week as a way to disseminate information to students and community members. Specifically, the research and final projects could be used to help promote a school's bullying prevention program. Individual students could also gather general information about bullying in order to form a personal action plan.

WHY DO YOU USE IT?

Question MarkThis resource is helpful because it provides links to Web sites that offer detailed information answering specific questions regarding bullying. The TechTour framework is in an easy-to-use format for students.

WHO DO YOU INVOLVE?

Question MarkWhen organized by a teacher, counselor or media specialist, students could collaborate to use this resource.

COLLABORATION

School Administrator: A school administrator who wants to learn the basics of bullying can refer to this site for the links to vast amounts of information. Parent: Parents can use this Web resource to learn more about the basics of bullying and get ideas of how they can help their child if he/she is involved in bullying.
