A teacher's role in the operation and culture of a school is ever-expanding; in addition to providing instruction in major subject areas, teachers are called on to be leaders, role models, and activists for positive change in the school community. Teachers, as the primary link between students, parents, and the school, need to lead all those members of the community towards developing the foundation for a safer school: a positive learning environment.
This section will contain tutorials on how to make the classroom a collaborative learning environment and targeted information on how to prevent bullying, support peer mediation programs, and write grants that raise money for school safety curriculum development.
